Who are the Lockyer Boys?

The Lockyer Boys (Will and Charlie Lockyer) are brothers, singers, instrumentalists, producers, and “a duo destined for stardom” – To the Point Music USA. Starting from a young age, the Boys were show-stoppers at concerts, entertaining crowds with harmonies and stage presence far beyond their years. Now, they impress multiple sold-out venues including opening positions for the Barenaked Ladies, Loverboy, Fefe Dobson, and more. At just 20 and 21, they have gathered years of experience in the studio working with Grammy-winning producer Mikal Blue (OneRepublic, Colbie Caillat), Jeff Dawson (Global hit “Bad Day”), Brian Howes (Nickelback, Daughtry), Shawn Hook, and more. With Dawson they released their earliest singles, earning over 500K streams and a feature with Platinum artist Mathieu Koss “Make it up as we go”.

How would you describe your music?

Pop! Our music is super energetic and incorporates inspirational and relatable messages for kids our age and younger.

How would you like to impact the community with your music?

Pretty early in our careers we realized we wanted to be a positive voice for people. Always encouraging people to look on the bright side and pursue their dreams in life. We hope our school concerts inspire kids and our music uplifts everyone.

How did you decide to get involved with Breakfast Club of Canada?

Ever since we started doing school concerts, we wanted to find a way to give back to schools as a thank you for the support they’ve given us. With Breakfast Club of Canada, we can make a difference in every community we perform in whether it be Manitoba, Ontario, or the provinces we haven’t visited yet.

Why is it an important cause for you?

Throughout our travels, we’ve realized every community is different, and every school is different. But making sure students are fed and are healthy is a common agenda that contributes to the overall success of every small town or big city.

What do you remember about the breakfast program at your school?

At our school, I remember the never-ending positivity that came from the breakfast program. On Fridays, a few of the staff would start a dance party! It started everyone’s day with a smile even if you were just passing by.

Why would you say breakfast programs are important?

Whether we’re playing a show, going to a photoshoot, catching a flight, or heading to the studio –

breakfast is the most important meal of the day! At schools, making sure every student is fed in the morning is key to everyone having a happy and productive day.

What is your favorite breakfast?

Charlie: Over-easy eggs on toast

Will: Coffee. Toast with peanut butter. And a banana. I can’t go a day without it.
