JOB DESCRIPTION

Breakfast Club of Canada is looking for an Administrative Technician to join the Procurement and Logistics team. The selected candidate will report to the Senior Purchasing and Inventory Advisor and work closely with the entire Procurement and Logistics team, providing technical, logistical and administrative support.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate the administrative process related to school orders: integrate orders into inventory systems, print out orders, check products and quantities sent to schools, etc.
  • Coordinate the administrative process related to shipping requests, working with all carriers: create delivery slips and bill of lading requests for carriers.
  • Ensure all administrative documents are carefully filed and archived (delivery slips, orders, bills of lading, POs, invoices).
  • Assist the Programs team in making adjustments to school orders (regular quantities, special orders).
  • Assist in analyzing costs and improving procurement processes.
  • Attend meetings with the Logistics team to ensure distribution operations run smoothly and meet schools’ specific needs.
  • Provide support in managing the Procurement and Logistics Department inbox.
  • Carry out other tasks as required to ensure the department runs smoothly.

 

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • College/vocational diploma or attestation in a relevant discipline (office technology, administration, etc.).
  • Two or more years of relevant experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French and English.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics (an asset) and Business Central (an asset).
  • Interest in working in the social enterprise, non-profit or philanthropy sector.
