Get Involved in your Community

Become a Volunteer

Volunteering with a local school breakfast program is a great way of supporting Breakfast Club of Canada. You’ll see first-hand how rewarding it can be to roll up your sleeves and give back to the community.

Breakfast Program Helpers

Every morning, committed volunteers get up early to prepare and serve breakfast in participating schools and organizations across the country. Their contributions are vital to keeping breakfast programs running smoothly all year long.

Are you a team player? Is children’s health and well-being important to you? Do you have a spare morning or two a week to help make sure students get their school day off to a nutritious start? If so, we need you!

Please note that volunteering opportunities vary from school to school, based on their specific circumstances and requirements, as well as their policies and measures in place.

Volunteers Testimonials

Pascal Lachance

Director of Sustainability at Danone Canada, and dedicated volunteer at the Club for many years.

“We have the privilege of being involved with BCC for many years now, making a difference in the lives of numerous young Canadians. This collaboration is also a tangible expression of our mission to promote health through food to as many people as possible. Ultimately, we hope to contribute to building a better future for the Club’s youth and foster a sense of community engagement among our employees.”

Marie-Hélène Gagnon

Options High School, Montréal, QC

“I am a breakfast champion in this program, because I love seeing the impact of nutritious breakfast on students. I teach them new recipes and new ways to eat. I love to cook with them and let them participate. We can talk about different subjects. Food brings and connects people together!“

Anne Trépanier

Wejgwapniag, Gesgapegiag, QC

“I was looking for a way to encourage my students in regular volunteer work. The breakfast program was a great way to integrate the whole class. What I like most about the program is to watch the students work together and discover their full potential outside of an academic setting. Life skills being learned while getting to enjoy a daily breakfast is definitely beneficial to all.“
